Independent · no vendors · no sourcing
Peptide science, read carefully
An independent place to discuss the peptide literature and to read the DatBTrue archive, with no vendors, no sourcing, and no sales pitch.
Independent community. No advertising. No sponsors. No paid endorsements.
Why independence matters
When suppliers fund a research discussion, commercial interests can influence which claims receive attention and how criticism is treated. Readers need room to question the evidence without a sponsor’s reputation deciding the conversation.
We do not sell advertising, accept sponsorships or receive affiliate commissions. No store can pay to be recommended or protected from criticism. We do not promote or rank vendors. Published claims, methods and uncertainties can be challenged on their merits.
Criticism is welcome
Favourable and critical readings of research, and experience reports within our no-sourcing rules, are welcome. We do not remove criticism to protect commercial interests. The same standards apply to everyone: separate evidence, interpretation and uncertainty. We moderate spam, threats, private information and unsupported allegations—not disagreement.
Discussion is not medical advice. The existing boundaries on sourcing, vendor promotion and personalised dosing advice remain in place.
What this is
DatBTrue.org is two things: a reading room and a discussion board. The reading room holds a historical archive of long-form essays on growth hormone physiology, secretagogues, insulin, and IGF-1, written between 2008 and 2016. The discussion board is where adults can work through that material, and the newer literature, in public.
We are independent. We have no vendor relationships, run no advertising, and use no affiliate links. Members share what they have read and what they have observed. That is peer discussion, not medical advice, and we try to keep the two from being confused.
The archive
Forty-two articles were recovered, about 69,000 words in all. Thirty-nine of them, nearly 52,000 words, are hosted here verbatim from a community transcription. The other three are summarised and cited rather than reproduced: two were written for a manufacturer, and one is a reproduction of another author’s book. They were written by the pseudonymous author DatBTrue for a forum that closed in 2016 and was never archived in full. The essays are uneven, sometimes dated, and often argued at length, but they explain mechanism rather than repeat slogans, and they cite their sources. That habit is rarer than it should be, which is why we keep them readable.
The forum
Discussion is welcome on mechanism, published studies, lab work and how to read it, side effects, harm reduction, and honest experience reports. Disagreement is welcome when it comes with a citation. What is banned, without exception: sourcing, vendor names, prices, where-to-buy questions, and dosing protocols offered as advice. Threads that drift into any of these are locked, and repeat offenders are removed. The archive tells you how the system works; this board will not tell you where to shop.
What we will not do
- We will not help anyone source compounds, in public or in private messages.
- We will not promote, name, or rank vendors, and we take no money from them.
- We will not give medical advice. Talk to a clinician.
- We will not give dosing instructions. Where the archive discusses dosing, it is preserved as a historical text, not offered as guidance.
If you find an error in the archive or on the board, tell us, and bring the citation.
